ABOUT

I am a Director of Photography based in Hamburg, Germany, working in narrative film, documentary and art-driven projects.

My recent work includes the feature film
„Songs of Hope and Despair“, premiering at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) 2026.

As a DoP, I focus on close collaboration with directors, attention to rhythm and duration, and on image as a structural element of storytelling rather than illustration. I am particularly drawn to projects that operate between fiction and documentary, performance and observation, where cinematography supports non-linear and open narrative forms.

Alongside author-driven and festival-oriented work, I have extensive experience within professional production environments. I regularly work on commercial and corporate productions as a 1st Assistant Camera, camera operator and DIT. In parallel, I am part of the camera department at MBF Filmtechnik / Ludwig Kameraverleih in Hamburg, part of the rental.de group.
There, I am involved in camera preparation, technical support and equipment logistics for film and high-end commercial productions, working closely with DoPs, camera crews and production teams.

This combined perspective — working both on set and within camera infrastructure — informs my approach as a DoP and allows me to operate reliably within complex production frameworks without compromising artistic intent.
